i dunno about the others on the 99+ but my sprints drop supposively 1.6 in the front and 1.7 in the back i think. my official bumper measurements (with an aed kit on) with stock shocks and 18" rims 40 tires is 4" clearance in front and 6" in the rear. the rims almost tuck under the car, i found it to be the perfect look. eihbochs just werent low enough for me, they are like 1.2" drop i think, i almost dont even notice when people have them.

If you're only concerned about the drop and not anything else you could also try coilovers, I know RBHarris (i think that's his name, had GAOTW a few months ago) has a pair for the 99+ and it bottoms out ALOT from being so low.

I know when they have them they say for 99+ grand am and caviler. they look very cheap though. I think they sell for 30 bucks plus a high shipping cost. I think you should get airbags if you want low.

Just a little more of a warning before you delve into the world of coilovers. The eBay coilovers for our car is SUPER low, the highest setting looks to be somewhere around a 2" drop. This is not a setup that's good for any serious driving unless you never put any body kit onto the car.

Yea, I have no body kit, just some 13" rims with 155/80/13 so I got a lot of gap, I've had a few lowriders before, and use to the no clearance, thats kinda what Im going for here, sounds like you had the same probs as I did with hydro's, just can't affors the bag's yet, but that's the next thing....

what year is your GA? I dont think 13" rims fit on the GA. 15" is the smallest.

It's an 02, we always had to put a spacer in before, so we might need one for this too, no big deal..

Ebay Coilovers when installed look like somebody cut the springs..

Well what's the diff if it's bagged and to the ground, or ebay coilovers that lay your ride the same way?Here's the rim, and it'll have 155/80/13's which will only be 2inch smaller over all diameter than the stock 16's I got on it now..

Well we've been into lowriders for yrs, got a club up here called High Voltage C.C., had 3 rides with hydro's and 13's, just wanna be different then all the other GA's around here, so some rims, then bags, but for now coilovers... If you want 13s you have to modify your brakes or space it out more than is safe. 15" is the smallest possible on a 5th gen GA because the calipers in front hit won't allow anything smaller.

Your just like all the other's, all imported out with the paint...well my taste is for a good clean ride, got my screens, 4000 watts for my 2 12's in a custom box, red and black suede guts,everything I did myself I guess to each his own...

Yea, well I've personally done 3 of my own lowrider show cars (now that take's work, time, and money), im 27 and been in car clubs for the last 10 1/2yrs, every weekend ew go to a car show, helped many of my club members, dozens of trophies, going to help my buddy today, we did the hail storm bodywork already, now today we're stripping it down, and painting it.... I've been around the block, a few times, prolly joined my 1st club when you were still dreming of driving....

Ok, that's cool, but no one cares. have fun with your "low rider" GA, and don't get so worked up when people criticize you for what your trying to do. Honestly I think 99% of the people on here will criticize you for it, just for the sole fact that 13's on a 5th gen will look ridiculous.

well im jumping on the band wagon... 13" spoke wheels are gonna look terrible on a GA. these cars look great either stock or with an aggressive look ie. 17-18" wheels, ram air hood etc. you might as well retrofit axels off a hummer onto your GA and jack it up with 26" wheels or something.... either way man your gonna get critized on here. take it like a man and back up your thoughts with pictures if theres something u need to pove.
