air hose thing?

hey i had to remove my whole air assembly (don't ask) you know that crappy plastic line going from the air hose to the valve cover by the fire wall . it broke what should i do ? or can i leave it without? 3400. 99 ga. se

That sounds like a vacuum line, which may explain why you have no vacuum at the HVAC selector knobs as described in your thread here: http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=88534

any idea how i would splice a new line (rubber?) in? ...i cant figure out how i would secure it to the valve cover
