Is there a way to bring back the shine to my spoiler? I have tried various polishes, but nothing seems to bring back that beautiful shine. The rest of my Grand Am is nice & shiny. The dull-finished spoiler sticks out like a sore thumb! I am almost ready to have a body shop repaint it, but that will probably cost plenty!!

the problem i have with my spoiler is there are tons of little scratches on it and makes the paint not shinny at all. looks like crap, but i'll either buy a new one if one pops up on here or repaint mine.

How deep are the scratches? How bad is the fading? Have you tried a very mild rubbing (white) compund? I've even gone so far as to mix wax and compound together to eliminate the scratches that compound itself will leave. Generally as long as there is some of the original colour you can get a shine.

Was it the spoiler that was originally mounted on the car, or an added one? You stated it's dull, meaning might need a repaint if this "dull" is faded in some sort. Then again if you have a repaint, it might not even match the current paint of the car, as paint will fade naturally after years of wear and paint type and quality. And are you hand polishing this, using a buffer? Have you tried clay bar?
