Power Window Conversion

Hello, I am looking into swaping out my manual (if you call them that) windows and upgrading to power, My father works for Baldor Generators and is skilled with electricty so I am set, and I myself know a few things. I was just curious to know if I'd have to do extra things aside from buying the motor finding a set of side panels that fit my 1996 GA GT, and wiring everything.

Any feedback would be most helpful. Links containing Sidepanels would also be neat, My first option is to go to a junk yard 10 miles away and finding a set that is in decent shape.

Go to the junk yard and gut the doors. You want switches, wires and connectors. Everything electrical from the inside of the door to where they connect under the dash.

Being skilled at electrical installations is one thing. Fabricating wire harnesses and finding connectors that fit is time consuming.

Just buy an aftermarket kit....Soooo much easier and not that expensive.

The SPAL kits are the best quality but if you are trying to save money, get the autoloc kit.

Thanks, although the actual panels are what I need. because I know a kid who tried cutting his own holes...yeh it turned out really bad.
