Its just from the subs hittin so hard and it takin battery power( this is wat i believe might be wrong) I had this happen to me when i had my s10 and i bought a capasiter and it seemed to stop. Also i had the law called on my so i had to turn my stuff down

No problem. Also it wouldnt help to go to like autozone and have then test the altinator and they will tell you. Also buy a battery charger if you dont already have one. About once a month i would put it on the truck over night jsut to be on the safe side

He's right.

You're drawing more current than you are producing - that causes the lights to dim. A capacitor will stop this from occuring as any "extra" power that's needed from the amp will be drawn from stored power in the capacitor. I suggest a 300 farad capacitor.

if your system is only 760 watts go with a 1-1.5 farad cap thats all you'll need a 300 would be a little over kill

Not the case. It's not overkill - he'll more than likely upgrade, most people do. And, there's no such thing as "overkill" when you talk about any type of storage.

there is a 300 farad cap is rated for 300,000 watts and in this case it is unless the system is pulling more amprage than the alternator is producing and for yeah cap would fix it ...but his system even a 2,3,or 5 farad cap would fix the power issue and if it doesn't then a second battery would be in order ........by the way does anyone know if he's running stock battery or aftermarket ?

The usual, get your battery and alternator tested, almost any parts store will do it for free. Check all of your battery cables and connections, including cutting the boots off. For more info on that check Rix's battery cable servicing guide in the How-to's or the FAQ. Think about doing the Big Three, especially if you upgrade at some point.

caps dont do shit trust me i have a 3 farad on about 600 watts and it does nothing i basicly use it for a volt meter

Mike, the general rule is about 1 farad per 1000 watts IIRC.

yea it is , i dont think a 1 farad would help me if a 3 farad is just taking up space

caps have a purpose just not on most peoples everyday systems
