Need some part numbers, and opinions (borla catback exhaust)

Could someone please give me the part # for both the grand am GT tail lights 99-03 of course. I'm just going to order some direct from GM....I'm also thinking about ordering the borla cat back exhaust anyone have this? if so how do you like it

Also one other question what is the size of the stock exhaust and what does everyone recomend replacing it with?

I know the borla cat back on pfyc comes with piping but I want to look at al my alternatives

I have the borla and i love it. I mean, it isnt like the SLP (the slp is louder) but the borla has a nice rumble to it.

I think the stock exhaust pipes are 2.25 and borla sends 2.5 but i am not sure.

Keep in mind the Borla was Designed for the V6 and you have the 2.2 I heard that the SLP and Borla's will cause you to loose a minor bit of low end power on the I4 motors.

im not sure on a part number for the GT tails, but call a dealership, theyll know (its in the cpmputer).

as far as exhaust goes, ive heard good things about the magnaflow and the 2.2L engines. i think the mufflers for the 3.4 will sound too high pitched in your 2.2l.

Ok I will look into the magnaflow mufflers. I trust your opinion. You usualy give good advice. What magnaflow muffler do you recomend for a dual exhaust setup #14266 or is there another one?

i bought my gt lenses off a wrecked grand am for $100. the dealership wanted $167 A PIECE. i've been trying to find a exhaust that doesnt sound like a import for my girlfriends car. my uncle owns a muffler shop and he said he put a flowmaster (not sure which series, didn't ask) on a four banger and it didnt sound that bad. he also said good things about magnaflow. why pay $550+ for a borla cat back when you can simply buy a borla muffler and then run pipes of your choice for about half the price?

for less than the price of 1 borla cat back exhaust for a grand am i bought 2 borla xr-1 racing mufflers, run 3 in. pipe from header back, removed my cat, and walked off with a smile.
