First of all this looks like a really nicely managed board you have here.
I might have a chance to score a 2000 Grand Am GT 4 door with the 3.4 and automatic. I'm not sure how many miles it has on it but it cant be much more than 100k. My room mate's fiance used to drive it and it now belongs to her parents. She said it started misfiring or losing power at higher speeds than 70 mph. It's perfectly drivable at lower speeds. They've had it to several shops including a Pontiac dealer and none of them could find the problem. I'm told they just want it off of their driveway so I'm thinking I could score it for pretty cheap. It'll just be a low cost daily driver for me.
My question: is there anyone else out there that has heard of this issue with these? My dad is a really talented mechanic and he's confident that he could find it we just need a place to start. I'll be talking to them later this weekend and I'll be sure to take a look at what's been tried on it.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
