im sort of comtimplating on making my own hood, maybe using fibreglass to mould an aftermarket hood scoop. ive seen alot of guys do it with different cars and it always seems to crack or something and then looks horrible. wondering if there is an product that has been proven not to crack or if someone has made their own hood and has some tips to help me out. thanx!

Fiberglass on a steel hood is generally bound to crack at some point, you can prevent it somewhat by using more layers of fiberglass and duralgass filler instead of bondo or poly fillers as much as possible.

the more glass u use the better it will be. try to use as little bondo as possible. also get some good adhesive to glue the scoop down with. they have some stuff at the paint store cant think of wut its called i think its panel adhesive or something.

Fiberglass resin won't stick to metal.

Have to use something like fuzor or a two part sandable epoxy. Fuzor and 3M make great products, check out their websites for more info.
