Well found myself at Autozone today so I figured why not. So I finally bought some sandpaper to restore my headlights but I could only find up to 2000 grit. Is this enough?

depends. if you've got a machine to help you out it might be. if you're doing it by hand......maybe. try a local automotive paint place, or even other parts stores. probably get up to 3000/3500 pretty easy. there's places online to order up to like 15,000 grit if you want to get really smooth :P

15K grit? at that point you might as well just use copy paper, lol.

They make 15,000 grit? damn

2000-3000 is fine but you should def use a machine polisher its going to be rough doing it by hand

Yea I was thinking about borrowing a buffer. Would a Mothers Powerball be enough? I've really been considering buying one.

Anything like coupes headlights in that how-to, because I want these factory clear because no one thinks it'll work and I'd kind of like to throw this one in someone's face :). haha

search "restore headlight" on here and you should find some useful info. There was a really good link to someone who did it on an old subaru (from a different forum) in a post a long while ago, but I couldn't find it in my 2 min search. They wetsanded with 2000 grit, then used some type of plastic polish (Mother's maybe?). My g/f's little brother follow the instructions on the site, and it turned out well.
