I dont want to know what happen with my pcm or other thing with a 160 degree thermostat, I just want to know WHERE I can buy one.

-I try ebay
-I try google : ''grand am thermostat'', ''grand am 160 degree thermostat'' , etc
-I try my local performance part saler, etc.

Anybody know where I can buy a 160 degree thermostat for my 99 GA with 3.4 engine?

If you know a local dealers behind you, I can pay you the piece with shipping by paypal if you can send it to me.

Thanks

nothing really as far as stock. If you are boostin your car you want it so the car stays cooler. 15degrees is a lot when you have a turbo heatin the shit out of your engine bay.

So then what do you tell your ECM when it sees 160 degrees and it thinks "well the engine is not warmed up yet, so we better keep it a bit rich, and maybe we better not let the transmission shift at the correct shift points just yet, I'm just a stupid computer I just know I'm not allowed to do that till I see 180 degrees" just an example.
Anyway this is the reason you use what ever temperature thermostat that the manufacture says to use. That is unless you have a way to reprogram the ECU.

yea you flash the ecu when you tune......you shouldnt keep the stock programmed ECU when you boost your car. It will fight you the whole way and wont allow for a proper tune.
