i have the eibach prokit and i love it. gives the best ride but its the shortest drop. if you used intrax springs you will get a lower ride for sure but i don't know about ride quality, i hear they aren't bad either.

as far as what you need to lower it. the only thing you really need are the springs. when i got my kit i replace everything

struts, shock, mounts, bushing, springs. AND YOU WILL NEED AND ALIGNMENT

you don't need to replace all of that but its a good thing to do whily you are at it. But since your car is a 2005 you shouldn't need to get all that replace and just swapping springs would be just fine.

You don't NEED to change the shocks, and struts, but it's a good Idea.

I have a set of Shock, Struts, and Eibach Sportlines for my Sebring that I am putting on. 2in drop from the springs.

I'd recommend changing the struts if they have over 50,000 miles on them, lowering springs wear used struts very quickly. You may want to change the mounts while you have it apart, the stock ones tend to be crappy. Like Sammy said, you need an alignment afterwards, which is always smart when changing suspension components. Just take your time with the install, you don't need a strut discharging into your cv axle or your face.

thanks guys. I'm getting it professionally installed cause i know i'd find a way to messing it up haha. How much will good struts cost me?

Look at $50-70 US each, Monroe has a deal at some stores right now (not sure about Canadian availability, sorry) with a buy three get number four free setup.

can you install springs your self? I was told you needed special equipment to get them on or whatever

ive heard you can rent a spring compressor at auto zone or advanced auto parts. thats probably the only thing you need.

You can pretty much do it all yourself with basic car knowledge. Its a fairly simple replacement.

Took me about two hours to replace everything (springs, struts and mounts) with some air tools and a spring compressor.

Look ALL over the net for struts. I found KYBs dirt cheap on cardomain with a coupon and even with shipping I still saved about $80!

As for springs, Canucks pretty much drop the lowest and look down right awesome with 18s. I had H&R and they drop the second lowest and looked great and gave a smooth ride.

All you need is a spring compressor and a decent set of sockets (air tools FTW).

Jack up the car, remove the front wheels. Open the hood and remove the three bolts on the top of the strut tower. Now go below and remove the two below. Strut will slide right out. Take it to a bench, put on spring clamps/compressors and compress the spring. Then remove the retaing bolt on the top and pull off the strut plate. If these are bad I suggest replacing them also. Take tension off the spring and then put clamps on the new spring and compress and install. Now put it all back in reverse order and make sure the spring is seated properly in the perch and strut plate. Reinstall and go to the other side.

The rear is just as easy, the bolts in the strut towers are in the trunk just pull the carpet back to access them.
