Recovering door panels???

The vinyl on my door panels ('97 2 dr GT, if it matters) is coming loose. I'd like to recover them with something a little different. Has anybody done this? What's a good material to use? (I don't have a heat gun so more vinyl is probably not a good idea.) Anyone have any pics of the finished product?

I'd like to know as well, the same thing is happening to my girlfriend's 97SE.

I took my '02 panels off and had the inserts redone. Check with your local interior shops. They have foam and fabrics. You might get supplies at local fabric stores. The same stuff is used in cars, boats and furniture.

What kind of adhesive would hold up well?
