I used to have (2) 15" W3 subwoofers in the trunk powered by a Memphis Power Refrence 500 1. I recently sold one of my 15" Subs. So now the 500 1 is powering (1) 15" W3. Now im pretty sure im going to sell this W3 soon and buy (2) 12" MTX 9500. My question is should i just buy 1 9500 or 2? I can get a good deal on both of them. Will my Memphis Amp beable to power both 9500's like they powered my W3's? Or will i need more wattage? Will 1 9500 be equilvant(sp) to 2 15" W3's? If i only buy 1 9500 and leave it hooked up to my Memphis 500 1, will i notice a difference between bass between the W3 and the 9500?

Buy 2 9500's and give me one :)

If the info is correct with the amp I found, you're either gonna need 1 big amp or buy another amp with the same ratings as your current amp. I suggest 1 big amp.

I think you'll be a lot happier with atleast 1 of those subs. But for show, and if you can get them at a crazy price then definitely do two.

Oh yea Im sure that solves his questions right there. How about backing that up with some information.

Do you like the sound of ported or sealed? How much trunk space are you using with your air ride?

Tom I don't want to see you under powering subs. As you know i plan on selling my sub amp ($200) once you get the subs ill give it to you if you can't afford it right away I trust you and see you often enough.

John, I appreciate the offer bud. What kind of amp is it? I would like to go ported.

If i go with 1 sub ill leave it in the trunk with a ported box. The 500 1 will power the sub full wattage. If i go with 2 MTX's im going to delete the back seat and build a ported wall. And pick up another individual amp to power the other MTX

do yourself a favor and dont get those MTX subs very overpriced for what you get..also for you to notice an audible difference you would have to double the power..In theory..It would be a 3db increase
