I got this amp to replace my old amp and in this new one, the remote spot has a spot for it that looks like a phone jack instead of just a screw there.

How do I hook up my remote wire to this?

That may be 'remote' as in a seperate bass boost knob or something. I've seen a few like that (and 99% of them have the phone jack look-a-like plug on the end). Try it without anything attached, and report back.

Get some pics too ;)

Well, I asked the guy and he said there was a normal remote thing on the other side, stupid me, just like my other amp. Well, My trunk is basically a wirey mess right now, but when I clean it up ill take some pictures. Right now I am running a 12" MTX Thunder 5000 on a Zapco i-force i-1200 amp 350 watts, I just installed it now, and that thing F***ing bumps hard as hell now, i'm proud of myself

both of my amps im using have that remote connection. with a 6-pin telephone cable, you can connect a remote level adjustment knob that usually comes with the amp. Im sure you can find one on ebay if youre interested. It mounts under the dash so you can adjust your bass on the fly. Personally, I prefer a LED toggle switch to the remote turn on wire to cut the amp off. I just love the look of a couple well-placed switches.
