Window Tinting

I am getting my 4 door window's tinted.. I live in New Brunswick, and I know we are not allowed to have these tinted.. Does anyone else who lives in NB have thier 4 windows done?, and did you have any problems with the police??

I was over on the weekend with all 4 tinted, and even after passing countless RCMP, nobody bothered me. It's all going to depend on the attitude of the cop, IMO.

To make it a little less noticeable and to help with night vision I left the front a little lighter than the back. 20% on the back, 35% on the front. I'm in PEI, but they're just as strict over here. To me it was worth the risk. Just have to roll down my windows for safety inspection now. :lol: But keep in mind that if you get pulled over for speeding or something else, you will likely get cited for the tint as well.

I couldn't find any shops willing to tint the front for legality reasons, so I did the deed myself. It's not too hard so long as you follow directions and take your time, and use good-quality tint film (I used 5-year warranty Gila film from Crappy Tire). The back was done professionally in 2003.

I loved my tint all around on my HHR. It was well worth the 150 dollor ticket.

If you know the police are around (like leaving a carshow) roll the windows down. I have 35% all around and have paid three tickets.
