Hey guys, as you might know I got the Eagle 077 polished wheels there and are for sale now. Well I got the one wheel I needed to get repaired from the shop today with the Potenzas now mounted on them, and there is a problem. The lip was done really well but now where the lip was fixed an about 2 inches up the spokes from the lip, the wheel is really high polished, looking just like chrome.
I am wondering if I can do the rest of the wheel and the other 3 myself to match or if I will need to bring it back to get them to polish them all or powdercoat them all. I will get a picture tomorow, they are still in my car to get washed after work tomorow. Need help though, cant really sell these when the one is looking like it does. If you can imagine thouhg, the outside an a couple inches down the spoke is almost like chrome while the rest of the wheel is just the greyish aluminum color.
You could polish them but it's alot of work . I'd take them somewhere and get them done . They look great polished ...

Have you tried a Mothers Powerball?
I heard it was rather easy with pretty decent results.

I use the Power Ball Mini on my 077s with Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish, it's not hard work and the results are great!

Matt do you have a picture of your wheels up close? I just want to see how shiny they are after your polish job. Like I say, the part that was done at the shop is basically like chrome. The wheels are still dirty so Im not sure how shiny the rest will be after washed but just as it is now, there is a REALLY big difference.

I'll snap a picture tomorrow for you, I use my Powerball on my exhaust tips and my CAI and they all come out great looking.

A guy over on GAGT is comin to check them out today and if he doesnt take them I will be putting them on my car. Im headed back home (up by Thunder Bay Ontario) on Thursday or Friday so no sense letting them sit all summer.

Whoa, is it possible mine are the silver painted ones? The center cap looks the same as yours but the rest of the wheel is really dull. WEll maybe just need a polish then. Giving it a day and then if not sold they are goin on my car.

Depending how the last owner took car of them, they may need some serious tlc. I think the 077's only came in polished Aluminum and a Chrome finish. In my opinion I think that they are one of the nicest looking wheels for a ga even though alot of people have them.

Yeah, I will have to either get them on my car or get pictures of them for you guys to check out. The guy over on GAGT never ended up giving me a call so I am probably goin to put them on the car. I will try and clean them up as good as possible but yeah they may need a full polish or powdercoat, we will see.

Well put them on my car............. and %$#! the one that I needed to get the lip polished up is bent, car was really vibrating and thought might be good to get em balanced but that barely helped and I can tell its comin from that wheel. BAD deal there, 250$ for 2 tires, 100$ to polish / clean up lip, 100$ for install and balancing, plus the original cost of the wheels. Doesnt pay to buy somethign that needs to be fixed. Dont know if the bend can be repaired but Im leaving town tomorow possibly for the summer and cant drive home with the wheel like that so it looks lik they might sit all summer.
Man, such a piss off.
