I'm at my wits end with my 99. The service vehicle soon light will not go off. I've replaced all headlights even though they were not burned out. All lighting is working fine. DRL and ACL is also working with no problems. There is nothing on the car that I can find that is not working properly.
Is there anything else that will trigger the light that I can investigate?
Thanks!
SVS light is usually related to lighting , are you sure both high and low beams are OK , and there isn't a bad connector some where . This light is set by the BCM ( body control module ) , a regular code scanner won't read these codes , you'll have to go to a dealer for that ....;)

Yea, Everything I've read said lighting so I went ahead and replaced all the headlights even though they were working...plus they were the original headlights.
I've checked every single bulb in the car, the only bulb burned out was the license plate bulb so I replaced it.
As much as I hate it I guess a trip to the dealer may be in my future.
Thanks for your help.

Brakes are also on the BCM, and power windows/seats/locks, the DRL circuit, other body stuff.
Basically, everything computerized that's not engine-tranny (PCM) or Antilock Brakes (ABS); and sometimes even an ABS code will trigger not only the ABS but also the SVS.

^Yup. Point is, you'll need to have the BCM codes read. Taking guesses and replacing bulbs will be a waste of money.
