View Full Version : New Reverse Light

This needed to get done in order for me to pass inspection. The car hasn't been inspected over a year and I want to drive it to Albany this year. This needed to get done because I don't think I will ever receive my AED Tail lights that are suppose to have reverse lights.
Notice the 28mm mantapart rear sway bar.

Put some tint on it and it might blend a little better :???:

^ I agree with Darrin. You wont notice it as much and you'll still be semi-legal. :)

I will determine to tint it depending on the paint scheme. I am already a magnet already for having a slow car. For some reason cops think all young people with modified cars are punks. They are some what right though :( Takes only a few to ruin it for the rest of us and that is why I need one in case anything happens. I know I will get pulled over for not having a front license plate outside of the car.

Looks really out of place... kinda negating the point of having a bodykit. I'd remove it after you pass inspection. Yes, it looked ugly on Don's 95 too.

I might do that or do what jrbracing15 created.
I might remove or hid it inside the inner bumper and hook it up again when it needs an inspection. Still undecided :???:

I was thinking that you could put a pair of exhaust pipes on the right side and put lights in them.
You could also mount lights on the axle. Nothing says that the lights have to be on the bumper...

I think molding in 99+ backup lights might be nice. Or a long strip of led's

Put lights in exhaust pipes :???:
They would be phony pipes on the right side to match the real left side pipes. Mount white bullet lights two or three inches down the tube.

if you were to do this take and make dual tips on both sides then make it so the inner tip is the only one used for exhaust and the outer tip is used for the b/u light on each side to keep things symmetrical.

As far as Dan's plans are concerned the exhaust lights wouldn't be permanent, it's just so he can pass inspection. The lights he might get if he's lucky and Len starts puttin out product has reverse lights built in.

That happened to me the other day... trust me.. put it on. Especially if you have state troopers patrolling. If their Shield device doesn't pick anything up... they will be looking for one.
