I have been doing alot of research on this topic, with me being a senior in high school i have alot of potential references still. My automotive teacher was taught That for every 10 degrees your engine drops, you gain one horse, now in the summer when its 90 degrees out you can apoximately get average of 30-40 degees with an external air filter. so you can do the math.

the only thing i couldnt find was if the intakes tubeing connects directly to the throttle body does it make any difference? i wouldn't imagine so. but anyone with any information that can be helpfull... i have no idea if it affects the sensors or anything like that. thanks in advance

What? Any aftermarket CAI or WAI for that matter will either use the bellowed tubing for the sensors or it will have predrilled holes for the sensors. Any quality intake will have the sensors in almost the same spot as stock.

Dirty shot and it's a WAI but you get the idea. Any other questions and you can PM me.

I coul agrue your teachers claim and give a very detailed discription s to why that information isn't exactally correct.

BTW, was your teacher talking about engine tempatures or air intake tempatures? Big difference.
