ya you need to make new holes, but the spoiler will cover the old holes. I bought one, but the seller kept it and gave my money back.

I love the look of the stang spoiler in the GA. I went the cheap way and went spoilerless...lol

Allens sedan used to have one, but the trunk was jacked up because the owner made a flip flop trunk kit...and it flopped. Caraudiodave had one on his old GA.

does this mod hit the radio antenna when the trunk opens? i've thought about it with the new 05+ mustang spoilers since i can get one fairly cheap. just didnt want to waist money buying it then it hits the antenna... i have thought about if it does hit i could cut it in half and mold it back together after i cut some out of the center.

thanks

Yeah i believe it does hit the antenna when the trunk opens. Why go through all that hassle cutting the stock antenna and molding it while you can pick up a $10 direct replacement stubby antenna :???2: It looks better than stock anyways..

I think it even hits those, Dave cut his at the base and Allen just let it bend the antenna while it was on the car, didn't permanently bend it though.

After the antenna keep hitting the same spot, it will eventually take the paint off spoiler in that one particular spot

Or do what Tom did and just get bored, pick up a welder and learn how to shave stuff on your car one afternoon.

Good way to break your customizing cherry Tom! lol

Thing is i can shave the antenna if i wanted since i am a fabricator/welder. lol. but i like my shorty antenna and the way it looks. i was talking about cutting the spoiler and taking a few inches out of the center to shorten the spoiler so it would be just inside the antenna.

but as for shaving things go, i was going to do my trunk key hole this summer, but thinking a lot about a body kit. so waiting till i need to paint a lot of panels first.

also has anyone seen a bright yellow paint like on the cavaliers on a 99+ grand am?

Yeah, I remember seeing it in the Members' Rides section when I joined (about two years ago). Let me see if I can find it.

Ok, couldn't find the one I was thinking of, but here are some others:
