Disecting your muffler

has anyone took their muffler and cut it open, then cut out all the pieces that restrict flow?

i think its illegal, but isnt that just like having a straight pipe??

if you've done it did you notice gains?

Why not just buy a cheap better-flowing muffler instead? Then it might actually sound decent, last a while, and not take that much effort.

You notice any gain from any exhaust it just makes the car sound better...if you want straight thru just get a glasspack muffler

I sold my stock SE muffler to someone trading in a lease.

Having a loud car is illegal. It doesn't matter if you have a muffler or not.
