I've seen alot of different grills on grand am's... where is a good place to get them? Which one's are worth it and which one's are cheaply made?

cheap - gutterguard from Lowe's
moderate - www.customcargrills.com
> I have the "99-05 Pontiac Grand Am GT Mesh Grill Kit" and like it. The only thing is though, I need to figure out a way to attach the bottom side of the nostril grills because they only provide brackets for the top.
---edit---
oh yeah, I forgot to mention the quality... I've had my grill for a couple of years now. It has stood up to everything that could be thrown at it (including the rabbit that jumped in front of me on a country road. yes I agree poor animal, but at least I was able to fix the grill without much effort). I would definitely recommend this, as I think it looks better than the gutterguard or chicken wire that I have seen other people use.

That was the most amazing recommendation I've ever gotten from anyone. Thanks meow!

no problem. also, just to clear something up, gutterguard is cheap, but it isn't "cheaply made" as far as I've heard. people who have used it like it and it holds up, it just costs less and doesn't look quite the same.

look / ask around and you should be able to find some pictures to compare. it seems like at least a few people on here have bought the XXL grills.

Yeah the more I look at the XXL grille the more I want the other one... lol. I may end up ordering it tonight. I like the rubber around the edges. They dont look like they are too hard to put on.

on mine, the edges don't even show so the plastic stuff is completely unnecessary... the grills are large enough that they overlap behind the edges of the visible area. for the larger bottom sections (in front of the radiator), I bought some black zip ties, drilled holes on each side of each grill underneath the bottom-most part of the factory bumper lip, and secured the bottom of the grill so it wouldn't get pushed back by the wind. you can't see them unless you're under the car looking.
... also just noticed you have an SE ... so the rubber stuff might be a good idea for the upper "nostril" grills. I've used the rubber stuff in making inserts for my headrest, and it works pretty easily. one tip, if you need to do a really sharp corner, you can snip off a triangle from either side of the rubber so only the backbone area is left to bend.

I just dont know... Im gonna wait on the grill... gonna put a magnaflow muffler on it or a flowmaster 80 series. i think magnaflow sounds better personally but all i have to go on is crappy youtube videos. Plus I just opened a savings account today so I can get the body kit off RKSPORT but I may get the grille to tide me over. You wouldnt believe the to do list I have on this car... might as well be a 5 year plan. btw Dave C... I love your rims!

where did ya get em?
from a guy over at grandamgt.com
I've heard that these rims are discontinued, so you pretty much have to buy them second-hand.
