Before the record was held by Spy (http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72627).

But now theres a new king, he goes by TurboQuad4. Most of you know him, some of you dont. But I dont think he posts here anymore. Below is a link to a video of the dyno pull and the dyno chart. Hopfully there will be a HP war between him and spy (spy had a renewed interest in his car) now.

Knowing Chris, he isn't done yet. He gains like 50 HP a year... consistently since 2002.

Carlisle, HELL I want to see that thing at Albany! I'd love to see some asshat with something that would normally eat a GA up and spit it out get his ass handed to him by this ride at the Drag Day :roflmfao:

Would be cool to talk him in to Albany, but from Virginia, that's quite a hike.

dang. is it still front wheel drive?

Yup.

That's a badass GA. What kind of tranny does it have?

The original 95 Isuzu 5-speed.
I think he's in the process of getting the parts to swap to the Getrag/NVG 5-speed.

does anyone have more pics of his car?

He's been to just about every Carlisle event I've been to...

:bs: I don't want to hear that... Shawn & Kelly Both from Nova Scotia Area Canada (891 mi – about 14 hours 16 mins) AND Pucci from Fort Worth, Texas (1,681 mi – about 1 day 2 hours)!!! I know there are others but they are the ones that come to mind right off hand.

stay tuned, school is about out, which means I'll have time to cook something up that I'm layin' out.

I have a feeling 500-520hp can be done w/ 20-22psi on my setup, or a spectacular bottom end failure.

i can't just let him take it away from me THAT easily! I wish I had his build up though, I'm quite jealous of that bottom end.

Shawn and Kelly also aren't driving a car like that with poor street manors, no HVAC, etc. I know he was nervous enough just driving it to Carlisle PA... let alone Albany NY then pushing it to its limits. He would have to trailer it... not sure if he has one.

I can attest to the sketchiness of driving a high hp vehicle on the streets, let alone long distances.

For me issues would have been fuel that's 100octane, and after this new task, finding stations that supply E85.

Then there's also the lil issue that if something breaks I'll be away from home base as taking it to a mechanic on the road would be a 100% no go. They wouldn't know where to start for diagnostics, and getting peppered with questions of why did you do this and that and that and that and that gets trying and patience reducing.

Not really that 'rough' sounding like a horizontally opposed engine. In person, it still sounds like a Quad 4, just really really pissed off.

matt95gt what kind of power is your car pulling with the sc?

Had it dyno'd once... about 175 HP at the wheels @ 4 PSI... which would be approx 200 HP at the crank, which is 50 over stock.

That is nice but you also had to perform modifications to make it work.

not bad at all just stock with bolt on sc?

The GM SC kit for the 2.4 isn't really a bolt-on for the 2.3... cutting/grinding/welding + fuel mods + tuning are required. The engine internals are stock, if that's what you mean.

Boost will be increased this summer... but Chris's turbo setup > this. Actually his setup technically beats this 2 times over.
