ok so i painted my interior pieces around the door handles silver last night and they looked really good. after i painted them i put clear coat on it and let it dry and now instead of silver it looks kinda like a grey. why do u think that is could the clear coat be old?? will it still look good and last w/o clearcoat?? if not what clearcoat should i use b/c i originally used plasti-kote??

What brand base coat did you use? Sometimes when using different brands for rattlecan paint they don't like each other.

Yep. Sounds like incompatable paint. Its well known that you shouldn't mix paint brands due to this reason.
