I'm lost! My baby is making this constant new grinding or vibration like noise whenever I drive her. The pitch of the noise gets higher the faster I go, and it gets a bit louder when I turn the wheel slightly to the right. Not to mention when I apply the brakes, the car shakes a bit until I come to a complete stop. Is it all in the brakes or is it more?
My dad checked the bearings and said he found nothing wrong with it. What could it be? Any ideas before I take it in to the shop? Anything my dad can fix himself?
HELP :( !!!!!
The GA is notorious for hub issues and brake rotors that easily warp . This may be the source of the noise , check the hubs . As far as the vehicle shaking when applying the brakes, that sounds like the typical warped brake rotor problem . Replace the rotors and pads with quality aftermarket units ( not GM ) :)

I just hit 50K. This just started on Friday, so it's a fairly new problem.

At 50k, it's more likely IMO that the front pads have worn down and are now scraping the rotors.
The rotors have warped slightly due to heat, and now cause the vibration while braking.
Go to Midas or other reputable brake shop, and get a written estimate that indicates work to be done.
Tell them you need to discuss it with knowledgable family and friends, then report to your dad and us (we're the friends :D ).
This could be really cheap (basic $99 brake job) or really expnsive ($999  ) depending on what's actually wrong and what they can scare you into needing.
Good luck,
