i know this may be a dumb question but my upper n lower intake manifolds are cracked, is it possible to put a 3100 sfi lower intake manifold from a 00' grand prix on a 00' 3400 sfi grand am? cause my buddy has upper n lower intake manifolds from his wrecked grand prix and said i could have whatever if it would work...any help would be great!

I could be wrong, but I really doubt that will work.

as long as it's from a 3100 it'll bolt up (as far as i remember) I'm pretty sure the intake manifolds on both engines are identical (I'm sure the UIM is).

Are you sure the grand prix has a 3100? If so Im pretty sure itll work.

Why unless you do a p&p? There's a reason members with the 3100 do a 3400 top end swap.

the 2000 and newer 3100s are identical to the 3400 as far as the top end goes. 93-99 3100 are small port and use a different EGR (electronically compatible, just mates to the upper intake differently. You can swap no problem.

not to be sarcastic or anything blackhawk, but like i said in my first post, my buddy said i could have anything off the car if i wanted. I'm kinda low on cash right now and since i can get both intake manifolds for free im gonna go with that cause i miss drivin the ga and am in need of a car. maybe when i get the money i'll get the other, but anyways thanks for all the help guys!!

Yeah, I didn't realize they opened the ports for the later model engines. My bad.
