so when you buy the brand new $800 Borla exhaust is this all it is?

No, a borla kit has two other pipes with it. one with the resonator that bolts up to the cat and another that goes from that pipe over the rear end and to the muffler. But a decent muffler shop should be able to bend up pieces to replace those pretty easily if all you had was the muffler like this sale.

And I think I only paid like $500-$600 for mine from PFYC.com many years ago. I've got some old pics of the whole kit and side by sides with the factory exhaust. They might be on my car domain page.
