tint on windshield

hey im getting my windows tinted 20% all around i was wondering if i should get my windshield tinted??

if so what percent 20 or 35??

Ummm..go 50% on the windshield. dont go that dark. You will prlly get flamed for tinting your windshield from a couple of guys on here cuz i did when i showed pics of it! I have 50% and works and looks great. heres a pic from a while back. You should post pics once you get it done because im thinking about redoing my front windows to 15 soon!

edit: wow dont really wanna see that snow in the pic oo well its a pic and gives u an idea! Oh and its just slightly tinted. the first pic makes it look dark.

Rj (bluez) Escalades windsheild is tinted 50%, and even with the light tint it effect seeing on darker areas. I personally would suggest not doing, borderline being unsafe. And if heaven forbid you ahve a accident and they see that the windshield is tinted they could not only slap you with a fine but also get you with negligence.

Check your local laws. Many states have regulations regarding if you can tint the front windshield, and how much (Missouri, for example, bans it completely).

Tinting the windshield is not safe at all. I had 5% tint on all my other windows and that was hard enough to back out of my driveway at night.

At least you can roll down your side windows if need be. You can't exactly roll down your windshield. :)

ugh this debate again where is the "professional driver" that thought it was ok to have a dark ass tinted windshield :roll2:

eh, it's only illegal if you get caught. i'll take a flaming with ya. i've got 3 vehicles and all 3 have their windshields tinted.

i've got 35% on one (GA) and 45% on the other 2. i would recommend getting 40-50%. then it's enough to block out a little light, but still light enough it doesn't affect your night vision that bad.

anything they do illegal around here you have to pay in cash, no receipt, etc. if you really want it done just ask them about doing it for cash and no receipt.

depends on the shop. some will warranty it, some won't. i personally think it's BS and IMO it gives them an excuse to do a shoddy job.

Around here they don't warranty it so that you can't go back if there's legal issues. I think I'm going 50 front 35 rear 3 because of that, so at least a few windows will be warrantied.

if ur goood you can...lol jk, but hey, go with he top strip...and a decal at the top, looks nice...tinting ur whole windhseild is pretty ballzy, plus itd be hard as hell, and youd prolly get pulled over and have to take it off the next day anyway lol, but its up to you!

if you get really ridiculous with it as to where it draws alot of attention yeah you're gonna get hassled with it.

i've had the windshield tinted on 2 of my vehicles for 5+ years and never gotten hassled about it
