so ok, finally got my car out of the shop. it was brought to the shop & the ins ppl just claimed totalled. so i manage to get my hands on it for a grand with clean title (not salvaged). i replaced the door & fender & managed to fix the quarter panel. had it painted & now its home. ive done custom cars in the past & now i fig i let everyone kinda give me views on what to do next with it. i plan on tinting it either today or tomorrow. (yes i can do that myself) lol. but after that...i dont know...change the headlights, change the taillights? go straight to rims? lowering springs? let me know & i appreciate it. ;)

depends on what you want IMO i think you should do wheels first and then lower it and get exhaust and then go from there btw looks good body shop did a great job fixing it

wait..so the ins company claimed it salvaged and you bought the car before they gav it that title??

is that right? and can you do that?

pretty much, before the guy can hand over the title to the ins company, we were able to get it right before he gave it to them. i did the title on the car last month & no probs. (course im going by what my husband said too, i wasnt quite there when he did the deal). but the title is clean. guess lucky.

Don't buy a Dr. Speed intake, used to be good quality, about a year and a half ago they just stopped shipping products and communicating with customers. Either go MP Racing or eBay cai.

wow..iv never ever heard of that..i mean even if you purchasea vehicle with a salvaged title these days laws have changed in yourfavor..making it easy to get ins and evn getting paid a decent percentage incase of another accident/damage that would make the vehicle salvaged again...

i thought when a vehicle is considered salvaged the ins automatically claims it as such..you dont need to actually report it to the dmv as such..then if you wanna keep the car you actually pay your ins co a few bucks..

congrats!
