im sure that what is ther would work but remember you still have to have a manifold and down pipe and you have to find a way to tune it :D

why do i feel like it costs so much to get a good 250-300hp out of a GA. for my dsm with 2g I could get in that area easily. boo ga's! :(

i havent even started working on the tsi yet. im about ready to get rid of my GA though I feel I could just put the money into the talon and get it running 10s. what do you guys think is the cheapest/easiest car to turbo?

the one you buy from the factory with a turbo then buy a new one ;) what do you plan on doing to the talon? just a turbo upgrade and a front mount? or going all out?

depends if i keep the GA or not. If i sell it go all out, suspension, rims, turbo setup, exhaust, etc. If i dont sell the GA then yeah just turbo and front mount. Im trying to see whats a good car to turbo for really cheap, something like a civic only not haha

ha ha no i really liked my gsx it just was unreliable as hell i wanted to do a 6 bolt swap but after the motor shelled i was done so it sits in the shop now i had a t3 upgrade and a ebay front mount and pulled 275 at the wheels it was a screamer just be really careful with the tranny went through 2 trannys and 1 clutch and make sure you watch the timing belt really close

i almost traded mine in march for an all stock 97 tsi. but the dude backed out because some dude offered him a vr4 :pissed:

if you want to go fast then yeah sell the ga and work on the talon.

if you want to be part of the exclusive boosted ga club and get your car known, then boost the ga.

Well if you are looking to run 12s cheap I'd sell your grand am you'll easily have to spend 5-6k+ to get there.

This doesnt look like a bad kit. Max is 27psi lots more then i would ask for. I might consider this.

do your research before you buy it. these are very cheap kits and might be able to 12-15. i highly doubt it will come close to 27psi. these are just "starter kits" if you will. they can hold around 10psi just fine but the seals on the turbo will go pretty fast. so you will want to get a good garrett turbo that is reliable.

i'm probably going to buy this within the summer and selling the turbo and wastegate because i already have my own. so if you get this kit go easy on it, but if you want to turn up boost get some good name parts.

Yea i wasnt gonna boost it that high anyway. Would you think i could just swap the turbo out? And upgrade say the wastegate and blow off valve. And maybe the intercooler if i just swapped the turbo itself.

oh yea. u can use what ever turbo you want u just need to make a manifold to fit it. i don't know the quality of the wastegate or bov. i just kept my eye out and got a good Tial wastegate and turbo xs rfl bov for under 200. so it was worth it for me to put out the money for parts i know that are good. and i already have a garrett t3/t4 hybrid that i am going to use.

Would you think that a exhaust shop would make one for me? It all depends. My only worries would be the downpipe the transmission and injectors.

stock injectors + boost on an n-body = no no no no

stock tranny + car with enough power to go deep into 13s = no no no no

If you want to go on a budget, you can use the stock OEM exhaust manifolds, and have an exhaust shop or any performance shop that knows a thing or two about fabrication, go to them. Then have them fabricate a custom crossover that meets about where the battery sits and cap that with a T3 or whatever flange, mount your turbo. Then they can do a proper downpipe. Which leaves just the intercooler piping, oil lines, vacuume lines, heat shielding, tuning, etc to you.

Yea i wasnt really planning on running with the stock injectors transmission. As i stated previously. About the oem exhaust manifold, would it just be better anyway to get a custom one? So theres no bottle neck? Or which got me thinking what about say S&S headers then have it custom fit to those headers and downpipe?

Yea im listening, ive seen the 12's. And getting some nice feedback. Very nice by the way.

the best way is to have a flanges cut for a custom manifold and crossover for a turbo setup... log style or header style........ well depends on how much you want to spend and spend time fabricating. Unless if you're going to be competing competitively, just go log style. It will do the job, be easily replaceable if it kills itself, and easy to repair if any cracks somehow somereason surface. In a pinch you can use the stock manifolds and just make a custom crossover. Is it an ideal solution? No. It does however allow you to get the rest of the setup put together until you do get extra money for proper manifolds.

You can use the S&S headers, but just know you'll be doing modifications to them i.e. welding depending on how you want your turbo oriented in the engine bay. you'll have to build a custom downpipe and crossover in some form regardless of the fact.

Search on GAGT.com and Aleromod.com and prolly here there are some pictures floating around of V6 setups. Seeing my setup wont' really help you at all, except for mounting of the intercooler.
