I hate the 3x6 and 6x9 setup... its bleh..
found a conclusion for the 6x9. im going to get adapter plates to convert them to 6.5" speakers.
but i ran across the brand "Focal". pricey, but supposed to be one of the best.
anybody know of them? any info?

yup jibo is right, your factory's are 4x6. as for focal there are 4 levels. Access, Polyglass, K2 Power, and Utopia. It all depends on your budget. all 4 lines are awsome. You can probably cross off the Utopia line unless you have over 1500 bucks for 1 set of speakers. if you just want coaxials stick with the access line. they are cheaper and sound great. personally I would bump up to the components though. if you go with components then your next cheapest choice is the Polyglass 165V1. great set. I personally like the K2's better obviously since i chose them. but no matter which one you go with you can't go wrong with Focal, They make top quality equipment. btw. what kind of amp you looking at to power these with??
