I have a 2005 grand am SE and i recently had subwoofers installed, and i bought a brand new alpine mp3 cd player, and when i pulled my stock cd player out, i had to splice the wires, but i had a wire diagram and everything ready, it was fool proof. But when i hooked it up I had no power to the cd player no dash lights or turn signals. So i took it off and re-connected all my wires to my stock Radio and it's all still the same, no dash lights no turn signals and no radio. I have checked all my fuzes but the relays. I have no idea what is wrong, please help me i can't drive until i get it fixed.

Probably a relay, if it wasn't a fuse. And i don't want to sound mean but you dropped how much on a cd player and didn't think to save 15 for a adapter that hooks straight into the factory harness and is color coded and dummy proof. O yeah did you smell burnt wire some where in the time you had your cd player in and out. O and just go ahead and replace the fuse even if it doesn't look blown. I had one that didn't look dead and it was.

Make sure to check the fuses in all three locations. Under the hood, on the drivers side end of the dash, and on the passenger side end of the dash.

Without my books with me I would guess it would be Maxi-Fuse number 4 under the hood. It doesn't look like a typical fuse and if hard to tell if it's blown. Pull it out and have a good look at it and preferable test it to see if it works. It will probably be very hard to pull out so wiggle and pull, it will come out.

Good luck.

NoNo always use some type of harness.

Points
Why jack up the short wires on the car harness.
But you do know that their no switch 12v line the harness.
And your car has 3 fuse boxes, in both door jams, and one under the hood.
