well I am about to embark on a journey into the world of new struts and springs. I had H&R's on my car a while ago with stock struts but since I work at pep boys i am utilizing my discount and getting new struts mounts and I ordered some canuck motorsports springs, soo we will see how this goes.
I also ordered a pacesetter monza exhaust and am purchasing at work an 80 series muffler. I will post pics and sound clips once it is all done and put together.
Just a little update for now.

well having Canuck springs, i will tell you they are comfortable, they lower the car VERY well, since i love it low, but at the same time they feel like stock when it comes to bumps and potholes. they handle like a performance spring, but arent too stiff on the ass like them lol

let me know how they feel with the monroe struts
im looking to drop it on some eibachs soon, looking at getting the kyb gr-2's, wondering the difference between those and just some monroe's, cause i could prob get them in town for cheaper and save 100bux on shipping to where i am from any site for kyb's

Welll review of having them on now for about a month. stiff like my H&R's definately not stock, sits really low and awesome. I out handled a 03 ish bmw 330ci on some hard turns on a freeway in L.A. look up the 110 FWY in L.A. the north side of it is pretty windy.
Struts are awesome with these springs I have almost no body roll with stock sway bars.
Overall CMS and Monroe struts are a great way to go.

hey grandam01 how do you like your new struts, the monroe's
Im really stuck at the moment trying to decide if I should spend $300 (shipped) to get KYB's off ebay or if I should take canadian tire up on their offer on suspension at the moment, can get the monroe's for about $200
The only difference in reading it seems is that the monroe's maybe a little softer and the KYB's a little stiffer (if this is even the case)
would you mind giving a quick review of the monroe's?

well the monroes feel better than the stock struts did when mated to H&R's, which is what i had previously. I have been able to take most sharp turns in my car now with limited or no body roll. the KYB's may be stiffer or dampen better but for the price the Monroe's are an excellent choice.

right on thanks for the response man, how much did u pay for all 4 monroe struts
like i was saying canadian tire was having their sale, i go in there thinking id pay less than kyb's i can get online, they wanted 150bux for each strut! im like are you sure thats not for two, even called the manager and he's like nope thats one, with the deal it would be 110bux each, im like what the hell, they couldnt even find the strut mounts either, came back with a rubber stopper im like no, i wanted to know if they came with the bearings but was like what the hell again
looks like im gonna have to get the kyb;s as there cheaper online, monroe's same price online, but yea unless both the kid and manager are incorrect thats a rip

I paid $460 with my employee discount for all four struts and all four strut mounts which include the bearings just not the insulators, the insulator is the rubber that goes around the bottom and top or the springs keeping the metal from rubbing against each other. for the insulator i bought some heater hose from work and cut it to ride along with the springs my own home made insulator. anyways without my discount i would have paid something like $600 for the struts and strut mounts.
Their prices seem really high? we sell them at pep boys auto for like $86 a strut or near there.

how about hooking a brother up with some strut mounts lol
yea the prices in town here are really ridiculous, im getting the KYB GR-2 struts from ebay but dont want to get the KYB mounts
They want 80bux a piece for front mounts here and 60bux a piece for rears, thats like 280bux just for mounts!
