my problem is..i just finished my lim/head gasket change..and had to buy a new pos batt cable..i dont wanna waste that money i spent on the cable by cutting it...any one hav any ideas how i can salvage that?
iv read ppl cutting that cable to hook it up to the new cable goin to the back.any other way of doin it? so i can eiher keep that cable intact or remove it and sell it?
thanks guys...i just am completely clueless to this type of wiring setup

can you just trace the wire and run your relocate kit from where the + cable begins?

well, when you unbolt it from the battery its a metal ring with a screw type battery post going through, and a rubber boot holding it together. you can take off the boot and the post bolt, and you are left with a few wires on a ring terminal. you can now get your new battery cable and put a ring terminal on the end, and use a bolt and nut to secure them, then wrap that in electrical tape.
another option is to get a car audio distribution block, cut off the wires (i think theres 2), attach them to one end and your new cable at the other end and youre done. this way is much cleaner. heres a link to what im talking about...

this will also give you extra hook ups for other things you want to power under the hood.

You might be able to sell it. There's a couple of people here that have the same car that you do....

From the sounds of it he's cutting that wire up to hook it to that distrobution block.

id rather not..i guess if i cn figure how to hook up those two connections with some other wire to the lead from the trunk..id sell my new pos cable..i hav the old cable and was thnking of using and cutting that one since it was actually cut(reason i replaced it)....but im unsure if its smart to use an older wire

wire is wire, as long as its long enough after you remove the cut part.
I actually havnt relocated my battery. I considered it many times, and ive done it for other people, but never my own.
