Obscurity

Just thought I'd introduce myself to all of you. I've got a 97 GT, I'm the second owner (I've got all of the service records from the first owners, very well cared for). She's got 267 000km, 60 000 of those are mine, and still going pretty good. Its been one of the most impressive car's I've driven, comfy, looks good and just keeps going, and going, and going.
Unfortunately the car is getting to a point now where in the next year I'll have to decide whether to consider selling or start putting work into it to prevent that slippery slope into becoming junky. One of the major problems is rock chips, nothing scary, just lots. I lived for a brief time in an area that had a lot of gravel on the roads, I drove slow enough to prevent chips, but the people passing me didn't.
There is nothing fancier than semi-synthetic oil and a K&N filter about my car, so I know I'll unfortunately fall short of many of you whom I expect have absolutely beautiful cars. I'm fine with that, I'll appreciate your style from afar, I just love mine because of that great mix between sporty and reliable.
I would though like to get her purring again, and looking a bit better, so I'll likely be looking for some pretty basic advice.
So hello to you all, and thanks in advance for putting up with what you might find to be silly questions. :)
