According to Crutchfield, the Metra 82-3300 speaker adapters won't Fit my 2000 SE1. I wonder if its due to the clip-in speaker brackets. Has anybody who used them had any trouble with them, or does it fit like it's OEM?

Could be wrong but as far as I've heard they work just fine. and you could always use the factory houseings with a little mod.

I used them on my 99 to install 6.5 comps in the doors...they worked perfectly. I only had to cut out a little metal in the door w/ a dremmel to fit them but other than that it was perfect.

i put 6.5"'s in the front doors of my SE all I did was make a ring out of 3/4" MDF and put it between the speaker and the door so it didnt hit the window and the door panel still fits great and I drilled new holes in the door for the speakers, worked awesome, i still have to get some sound deadening stuff for them but they still sound fine and i put new 6x9's in the back, used the factory housings for them, I just broke off the tab that sticks up beside the factory speaker and put the new speakers on them, worked great didnt have to buy anything except screws
