new trim paint, what do u think???

My girlfriend hates the chrome strip around the whole car and saw a purple 95 GT for sale with the black strip around it so she wanted to do that, so here are some pics of our progress, we're finishing it today. we're also painting the mirrors and spoiler...

i'll get better pics of the spoiler, and it might be on the car later today. the trim should be done too. So, what do you guys think?

we got the rest of the trim painted and clear coated, we finished the drivers side mirror, still need to do the passengers side. we also got the spoiler on today. over all pretty good progress, all we need to do is the mirror and wax it up and it'll be good to go.

thanks guys, i'm probably gonna get much better pics of it tomorrow. since i get off work earlier than my gf, i'm gonna steal it from her work and go wash it, then when she gets off work we're probably gonna wax it after we get the other mirror painted. then i can take pics.


the black trim idea, my gf got that from a purple 1995 GAGT. i personally love it with the black pin stripe

Btw, the mirror is easy to remove on the 1995's... would've saved some masking tape ;).

looks like you two did a great job as Jeff said. i think the black trim looks great as well as teh chrome (both looked great) but witht eh black it's definately different and something so subtle but yet noticable. good work!!!:thumbup:

Hey just a little info on your side mirros. I painted mine and now there all faded so in about a few months or week or so put another coating of paint on them. cause they fade just a little heads up.

did u primer, paint and clear coat it? the clear really makes a difference. I painted my bumper on my old Tempo and it still looks good, and that's sitting under my deck, and its been painted for about years.

nice work but i would honestly would of never went with the can spray, (previous experience) it just chips & then dulls out, i just bring everything to shop & get it painted anymore. car paint lasts & has better quality. but other than that, the spoiler looks good on a purple car...good job!

Car looks good but I'm also not a fan of painting that trim when you can buy vinyl that is made for it.
