thats the thing, I would like to keep them on during winter. But i'm guessing that you have to take them off during winter. I just can't win haha

I'm glad we only get a couple of moddestly accumulating snows a year so I don't have to have two sets of wheels and tires.

you dont have to take off any wheels in the winter, most people that do have new or larger wheels take them off so they dont have to worry about damaging them at all, if you buy larger than 16s, it wouldnt be hard to keep your old rims and tires and just store them for the summer and then use them in the winter,

i would suggest if you buy aftermarket rims, to take em off in the winter. b/c like greengo said, if you get larger than 16's, the gap in the wheel well gets smaller, and w/ 16's, its already easy for snow to get stuck up in, so w/ low pro's the treads dont have the availability to be that deep, so id say get winter tires for the stock rims, get summer tires for the new rims, and there you go.

The gap in the wheel well will stay the same if you get the correct size tires to go with them.
