they actually didnt cost me anything because my dads company had never done anything to the the chromaplated wheel that i had. (the plastic chrome covering.) they used it as an experiment and it turned out great IMO. but as far as the price to get it done, im not sure becuase the owner is racing this weekend and hasnt gotten back to me on the price, so ill get that monday.

I like it. I've been pondering the thought of having a non chrome set of my rim style painted black like that, since I wanna stay with a 16".

why? i would ditch these for something bigger in a heartbeat if i got the chance and had the money.

1: I bought Eagle F1's in the stock size (almost $700 for the set)
2: I've seen what LI roads do to wheels with a low profile on them
3: I'm not crazy about bigger rims

my rims are not powdercoated. it is a "new" way of painting called "Chromagold" its a special process that paints right over chrome. it can be done to just about any wheel out there... an basic color you want.
from what i understand its cheaper than powdercoating.

i think this would be really cool to do to my old wheels, so that way when i switch back to them in the winter, i can keep the black wheel look :) looking forward to that price quote!

looks good i think. i see sooo many popular chrome rims with custom painted centers, spokes, etc. i wonder if they do that a certain way, or if this is a new way. cause whatever rims i end up with, would be cool to have some of it match the car. i rarely see a showcar with matching paint on the rims that looks bad.

I actually think those look really good, too bad I have the stupid 3 blade hub cap design on my GAGT. I wouldn't mind those wheels though, very nice! :D

Really? Because mine aren't real chrome though, it's a plastic cover that has chrome-like surface. I don't know if that process would work on mine.

that exactly what i thought. however, they took it and found out they can do it on the chrome plated cover. i had the same thing on mine, the chromaplated plastic. it works.

as for the brown look, it looks a tad light blackish brownish at sunset or sunrise. not sure why but they are. it looks straight black all the time if your not looking extremely hard.

get a price in the morning...

ok sorry it took so long. according to my dad it will be about $150/ wheel. he said it would probablly be negotiable if mentioned that you are a gaownersclub member! it should be around that price, but it can be negotiable. again sorry that it took so long to get the quote, but i got busy...

That looks really good. If I had another set of wheels I'd love to give that a try.
