Very nice GA you got there!!

One of mine is a 86, so you dont have the oldest here :D
But it is not on the road anymore. I retired it this winter and it is awaiting restoration.

Thanks!
Both of my car are not for sale ;)

As for the color of my '86, i never saw it on another Grand Am of this era... dont know if it's very rare. It has been repainted in the 90's with a color near the original, but it is a two tone originally.

hello

- here's some more helpful info:

there is a company called " VINTAGE PARTS , LLC"

loctaed in " beaver dam , WI , USA zip 53916

they specialize in buying a billion of dis-continued parts from GM NORTH AMERICA , then re-selling them to you and me!

- items are usually NOS ( new old stock).

i recently just rec'd a box of several items for my grand am , discontinued many years ago by GM ........all i rec'd were in " brand new" condition !!!

HOWEVER

- you will no doubt have to go through your local GM dealer's parts department on this .......from what i have learned , they DO NOT deal with the public directly.

- put together some items you are looking for , and present them to your " parts guy" ........IF the parts are available through " VINTAGE'........he / she should see it prompt on the computer..........

- some common versions / sayings that some parts people use are " VI " , " GM VINTAGE " or just " vintage"............

hope this helps in some way !!!!

cheers

Unfortunatly, the "part guy" at my dealer wont take the extra time to check what you are saying.

All i have is "the part is discontinuated" and that's about it.. :(

sorry to hear that......

IF there is a part # or #'s etc you can provide , i might be able to check on my end

just a thought anyway

thanks

For the love of god give your son a haircut lol (guessing he's your son). Awesome GA btw. Those old ones had some flair as well.
