Well im looking at getting a new hood sometime soon, and I decided to install hood pins on my car. I love the way they look. It was kind of a PITA to install but IM happy with them. I also got some blu wire loom for the engine and a pic of my sound system. Im buying new audiobann subs soon.

if you keep those hood pins for a while, be prepared for rust on them, my friend has them on his mustang and their terribly rusty now,

dude if you lost the 6x9s in the trunk, it would be soo much cleaner. it doesnt really make a difference, especially if you already have subs. but thank god ur getting two matching subs cause the unmatched looks very cheap :( sorry. lose the 6x9 boxes, and just throw some good ones in the rear deck and you will be gold.

Provide better support to hold the hood down. They're especially useful for lighter hoods that can fling up and hit your windshield because the stock latch is made for use with a heavier metal hood. I ran the stock latch on my c/f hood for awhile but then went with pins because the hood would shake under high speeds.

Be aware the FX hood is only half the hood. To do it the right way, you'd have to take a stock hood and get the bottom under structure and have that bonded with the FX top.

I saw it on a red 92-95 GAGT at carlisle a few years ago...not sure what was up with it, but it fit aweful.

How long ago? 3-4 years ago? Red 94 HO coupe?

If so, that was Brian ("1_Nice_GT" back in the GApower days)... he was one of the first to get the FX "hood." Yea, I remember the fitment was rather poor on the edges. He said the shop had trouble with it - the FX top had a different contour than a stock hood.

I remember selling it on AED - I think he had the hood fixed because I couldn't tell from the pictures. The car was very nicely done and clean looking with the hood.
