Well as some of you may know I have slowly been looking at some 5-speed family cars to replace my 2000 SE. I have been watching this for a few months and keeps dropping price. I figure try and get it for 2500 and swap my suspension, leather seats, and HIDs, and rims over. After that it will be a nice DD and the work will be done. Let me know what you all think.

Yea sik I'll fly right out then go through the headache of a 5-speed or 6-speed conversion no thanks lol.

Edit: Can I get an order of pork fried rice with the car?

It's already been done and documented so I can't see it taking much more time than it would be for you to swap all the other shit into your car.

No you may not. But you can have my eggroll in yo' mouf son!

my other stuff is just a day of work really I have done the suspension so many times because of broken strut mounts. The hardest part is the front sway bar which ill just use a shops lift.

I didn't think anyone could even find a 5 speed 2001. I would so get that. Looks to be in great shape AND a new motor. Better hurry since you let the cat out of the bag. J/K. Hope it works out for ya.

I cant see the listing either but if its a 01 5spd eco might as well grab it up. Its a damn great engine as you know and the fuel economy is up there also.

Honestly though, I loved my GA and would get another one if I didnt have a hankering for RWD but I have been trying to get the fiance to get a used one but she wont go at it.

It looks pretty good. Metfire red too.

2900 is a good damn deal if I were needed a car.

I don't think im going to rush on it since its been for sale since march. I get the feeling there isn't a huge market for 5-speed family cars here. I figure I just started my new job I would like to grow my rainy day fun a little bit more right now. Hoping I make it to the end of the summer with the 2000 (its gonna be tough since I punctured the AC condensor this winter).

That sucks. :(

Ive been through 4 TX summers without AC. It blows but is bearable.

Yea I would walk out and pick it up right now except I'm a firm believer in Murphy's Law and don't want to be caught without some reserves. Being out of work for 5 months takes a toll on them

Both listings are gone. Regardless, I don't think you need anything else until you get that 94 running.

New listing http://providence.craigslist.org/car/712213225.html

This is just looking to be a DD for me the 2000 is annoying and ugly. I at least need to get the AC fixed on the 2000 and a new muffler put on I'm tired of it.

lol... and you think a 2001 is going to be any better maintenance wise?

I'll take texas summers over hot humid summers in the NE US :(

HAHAH I lived 50 miles from the Gulf so it was a good day when the humidity was 90% not 100%. :(

80k miles is a lot less miles. You really cant say a new muffler is that hard to do but the new AC will be around $800 based on my expierence.
