I know that lowering springs for cavaliers from 87'-94' work on up to 94' GAs, and 96'-98' GAs have the same suspension as a 94', so wouldn't lowering springs/coilovers for a 96 cavalier work on my 94' GA? I hope this makes sense, but does anyone know?

Actually if I remember right the 95 is the year with the same suspension as the 96-98. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

no a 95 up cavalier coil overs well not work, but a 94 and older might. the best thing to do is look around and see if u can find one for ur car. i know they make them but i forgot what site its under

hmmm, someone with the older style grand am's needs to live closer to me so I can work on some custom suspensions for ya. lol But I doubt any coilover will work besides ones that would be made for your car.

there a lot of things that need to be taken into consideration when making coilovers. you want a nice tight fit for the sleeve so the diameter of the sleeve has to be EXACTLY matched to that of the strut housing they belong on. If the cavalier's have the same diameter strut housing they will fit. Now if they do fit, you have to take the weight differences into effect, and the damping of the struts and etc. to insure a DECENT ride(because no coilover is going to be a good ride unless big bucks are spent)
