New Ractive Muffler

I Have a 99GA SE 2.4L and jus had my new ractive muffler put on it sounds great. It's a single tip. It's going 2 rain this whole weekend 4 me so I won't be able 2 really get my car moving so I can notice any difference.

If any u guys and gals have a ractive muffler tell me how it is? And what differences you have noticed?

IMO, i just don't see the benifits of getting a muffler (other than sound) unless your going to get the whole cat back system. but i hope it works good for you. Let us know.:)

with 2in piping in a 2.4L GA is big enuff. It does make a difference in performance if u have a SE 2.4L it has a retarded muffler that kills alot of power. Pontiac said that did that because it saves gas, screw that!

If you have just replaced the muffler do not expect a BIG power gain. There may be a little, but not much. With everything else stock, you MIGHT see 2-3 HP. Sound & looks are probably your biggest improvements.

when i had my old muffler on it only made it sound better and only noticed a very small amount of power gain,just only in the higher rpms...Im working on my whole exhaust now since im getting more money and ive been noticing bigger noticible gains(even though its still only like 5-7 maybe at the most).
