Sounds like someone you knew stole your crap, that or told someone else.

How would they know where you keep your extra set of keys?

that's why my extra set of keys is hidden in a locked in our safe. and i have an alarm that is armed even while my car is in the garage.

Could be insider knowledge. Could just be an experienced theif.Could be they just hit the garage and got lucky.

In any case, the damage is done. To look at it on the upside, the car is back to the OP in one piece.Thankfully they didn't do anything worse to the GA like commit a felony with it, they just wanted the parts it seems....

Yeesh.Stuff like this is why im hesitant to put a system or screens in my car (besides the weight gain from the subwoofer )

My sincere condolences to the OP.

any auto theft, car or parts, should be a public be-heading by the victim... i got my radio stolen, door f--ed up, but your whole car is worse, and finding it later f--ed up is worse. good luck on your recovery man.

Who the hell steals a GRAND AM? I'd understand if it were something a bit more of value and rarity such as a Grand National, but a Grand Am?

Must've been the same guy that I saw with a Tinted Kia...

Regardless of car, putting flashy 20's on it is enough of a target marker... and as he stated, they made off with a whole bunch of other shit that isn't grand am related

Man i cant believe people really have the balls to do shit like that, a few years back someone stole my brothers brand new Nissan Maxima and all they got was his amp, and they broke his eclipse cd player.

that has to be the dumbest thing I've seen on here in a while......and why can't people tint a kia? People do tint cars for other reasons than appereance

The same reason thives steal Toyota Camrys, Honda Accords, and other popular cars ...for $$$.

Since those are popular cars, there is a captive market for spare parts. And it doesn't hurt to jack some stereo's and subwoofers in the process :(.

That sucks sorry hear about the car

Reminds me of 10 years ago when they stole my dads Ford Escort, all they wanted was a joy ride and totaled the car in the process. Hope you can get her fixed up real nice maybe even better

:iagree: Grand Am's are not the hardest cars to break into. It doesnt take much to get into a GA without a aftermarket alarm system. So what if they had a tinted Kia. They have as much right modding there Kia as we do are Grand Am's. Sorry but had to vent on that one.

To the OP, That sucks to hear man. Post some pics up if you wish. And i also believe that it was a in-side job, maybe even friend related. Unless the keys were visable from inside of the garage
