I have a brand new 22684076 (or 22702307) "Door Check - Link" for sale for any 2-door 1999 thru 2005 Grand Am. It's the mechanism that holds your door open at certain positions. Got this at my local dealership, but sold my car since then. MSRP is $50.87, Monsterparts is $40.26 with shipping. I'll sell it for $25 which includes shipping in the US. Brand new, never mounted. wait, what is it...? im lost haha. you mean like you open it, and if you dont want it opening all the way b/c it could hit something, it opens and stops slightly?

im pretty sure thats what it is. I looked at it hoping it was the locking mechanism since the one to replace mine is $160
