Engine removal

Hey, i hav a Q? k i got a 93 gt with a 3.3, i need to replace the motor in it due to it blowing up, now do i take out from the bottom with the tranny and front axel and all, or can i just lift it right out from the top? ive heard many diffrent things. any help?

I pull all my stuff from under the car. May be a little more time consuming but theres more room to work with.
