Engine swap

Quick Question,

I have a 1992 Grand am GT with the 3300 series 3.3 liter. I was wondering what other engine would fit and work in it, I am looking to just tear it all apart and re do the whole car ad want to know which engine would fit in. Thanks

Most obvious other choices would be a Quad4 or 3.1 V6. 3.4 could also probably be done but would be a little more complicated. For any swap you will also need computer and wiring harness and probably some mount accomadations. And I'm assuming you want to swap the motor and tranny since you probably have the 3 spd. auto which isn't very good...

Since you have the same block as the 3800, I'd say that's probably your best bet. I don't know how easily the required 4t60 would fit, because I don't know if there's any differences between your engine bay and the '94 model's (the '94 came with the 3100 and a 4t60 tranny).
