I've been planning to do this for a long time, but I just didn't have the funds available to do this little project. Then a couple other guys made their own custom CAI's and wanted to sell them, so I needed to get on with my project. So I busted out the credit card.

Well anyways, this is what my intakes consist of. 3" Polished aluminum tubing, colored couplings, stainless steal clamps, and K&N inverted cone filter. Check out my web page below. I am going to try to sell these, because I think it would be a fun little project and its always nice to see some more options for aftermarket modifications.

I have other intakes that I plan to make, like pre-1999 Grand Ams, and a Warm air intake (or short ram...they can be called a number of things). I just have to get a hold of that car to make it fit. But as of right now I only have CAI's for 99+ 3400 V6 N-bodies. Installation is not that difficult, and I am in the midst of writing the directions.

My initial observations of the intake are very optimistic. There is a definate boost in power in higher RPM's, and the sound is AWESOME. Off the line I haven't noticed a drop in power like some have claimed.

Please take a look around my site. I am open to any feedback you can give me. I'm not looking to make money off of these, just give you guys another option. Thanks for looking!

With all do respect, I would like to avoid these kind of posts. I haven't gone over to his threads and try to steer people in my direction. I'd appreciate that. Thanks.

And the reason mine is a little more expensive, is that I'm going with the inverted cone filter, which has better flow than the normal filter. I can provide anyone with whatever filter they want, its just that the inverted one is whats standard.

im not a mechanical genius, nor have i owned a car with factory equipped ram air. but wouldn't ram air be a little better than a cold air intake? but under the hood does look good. a little attention to detail can go a long way

Looks sweet... and I would be interested in the WAI if you make them. I don't want to pay TOO much for one. I have a GMS MAF WAI intake setup now but I want to extend it with tubing and couplers then build and cold air/ram air box to use with the SC/T hood but I have to fix the intake first and get my 65mm TB and p&p UIM from APOC (sometime soon I hope!)

^ i agree.

and I dont sell the intakes. I was just letting people know there are alternatives. I have seen people do the same thing to his thread about APOC's. There ARE alternatives.

That looks great and if you want to dress it up more you can put a 3.4 cover on

I am defiently looking into buying one of these. What other colors would you have other than red?

interesting. Will there be a no-filter option? Perhaps for around $60-$70 for the piping/couplers only?

edit=being the cheap skate I am, how bout a slight discount for the first 15 or so orders? I don't need instructions, I just want a friggin CAI, and I don't want to wait 6 weeks for it.

Red, blue, yellow, and black.

I can look into that. I'll let you know. As far as a group discout goes, I'm not really interested in doing that yet because I want to cover my costs firsts. But you never know.

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone! Keep 'em coming.

Its just a matter of finding the time between my two jobs and getting a hold of an 3.1L GA. Between the two, it could be some time. Once i do however I will post up as soon as it happens.

As far as the engines go, they are practically identical. Its the chassis that is different. For the 99+ there is just barely enough room to fit the 3" aluminum tubing through into the fenderwell. My buddy works at a pontiac dealership, as soon as he gets a 3100 V6 GA I'm taking it out for a day long "test drive" if you know what I mean.

Thanks for the compliments man. It fits even better now than it did in the picture. I have had to make some adjustments but I'm really satisfied with the way it has come out. thanks again!!
