made it myself.. used an actual hood so the fit should be perfect, hood comes with original hinges so installation should be really quick. it took over $250 to make plus many hours of labor. need to get rid of the car for something bigger so i wont be putting this on. Fiberglass scoop is held down by
1. Rivets
2. Epoxy
3. Silicone
4. Putty
already used spot putty and primer so its pretty much ready for paint.
Looking for 450 local pickup.

If only you weren't halfway across the U.S. Maybe if someone from the midwest or central Canada wanted to help me out and pick it up at Albany. I've wanted that style for a long time but never have the time to really do it. And a shed packed with a primered Chevelle doesn't help.

Agreed, if this was later in the summer/fall I would drive and pick it up, right now too far though, looks damn sweet. I WANT :( haha

currently its closed, but you can cut from the bottom w\ an angle grinder and let air in\out. but unless you're planning to route an air filter underneath it somehow it will probably just help keep engine temp a bit lower. I hear the sc\t hoods don't help neither (w\power).
come on,, someone pick it up before i change my mind and keep my car just so i can put this hood on.. :trampo:

Any chance of shipping? Though I'd be kinda scared of it seperating and being raped on shipping for the size.

srry decided against the hood but still interested in exhaust. and cody, i wouldnt worry about it seperating from shipping. if it can withstand the wind pressure of going 100 mph, it can withstand the dumb-@rses at ups or fed-ex. so yea if u wanted it shipped to you dont even worry about it seperating :)
GL with the sale of the hood

Ok.. here goes... Shipping quotes on this thing are pretty scary. seems to be $140 everywhere because of weight and dimensions except for USPS. they are the cheapest but i wont know exactly how much cheaper until its packed up and they see it in the post office. I was told $38 for the base weight and fees for it being a large package (i was told at least 30 dollars after the computer "measures" it :roll2:) so ill call it 100 for shipping but I'm not out to screw anyone on shipping so if its lower then that ill send you the remainder back through paypal. if its more ill pm you immediately and let you know how much more.
so lets call it as 550 shipped.

I stopped by the UPS store today and shipping a ~60x60x5 at ~45LBs To Canada is going to be over 150, and thats if i pack it myself.. the guy looks at me and tells me "listen, don't send anything to Canada, they're crazy" lol
if you really want it ill take 200 for shipping and send you the remainder when its on its way and ill try to pack it as good as possible. your call.

yeah Canada is always a pain in the ass, and never worth shipping to (please dont take offense, i like Canada :) )
but if u were closer, i would have you mold that scoop onto my hood. its welded on the custom suicide hinges so i cant just swap it :(

I would definatley pay $650 shipped to me (in Canada) if it were painted, really original and very sexy hood.

well im sure to help out the seller, this is what he could do. since its in primer, primer is a form of paint as it goes onto a clean surface, so there it is painted, it is original, as ill guarantee you noone has that exact scoop molded the exact same way in the exact same location on the exact same hood, so therefore its original, and im sure he can take time out of his day to rub some sexy on the hood. HAHA srry nick, just bored and tired...
